Firefighter Compensation Comparison

Plain Township Firefighters are paid a competitive wage, based on the value of their credentials, experience and training. These employees are paid to provide life saving emergency services at your greatest time of need. All full-time Plain Township firefighters are certified paramedics with advanced life support training. They are the best of the best.

In the fall of 2014, Plain Township conducted a study of central Ohio fire departments based on published wage schedules and benefits. Entry level Plain Township firefighters are paid on par with the average total compensation of first year firefighters in central Ohio. All Plain Township officers are compensated below the midpoint for fire department officers of equivalent rank in central Ohio. This includes all scheduled wages, medic bonus, holiday pay, and pension pickup.
